Probably the best known white grape grown today Extremely versatile in the wine making industry - being used in the finest Burgundies and Champagne as well as in more warmer regions such as Australia.

Whilst the vine can be a little slow at first, once established it will flourish into an extremely vigorous and healthy vine producing beautiful golden grapes with a gorgeous sweet flavour - making them perfect for eating also.

  • Originally from France.
  • Late-Season fruit ripening.
  • Winter wood ripening is good - so can be grown both outdoors or under protection (greenhouse, polytunnel or conservatory).
  • Can be trained using either the cane replacement method or spur pruning.
  • Self fertile.
  • Fruit contains seeds.
  • Performs best on an alkaline soil.
