These bell shaped flowers simply nod at you as you pass them! With round, pink flowers with yellow stamens through July and August with a onion or garlic scent, they really are a cheerful plant, particularly in a rockery, meadow or at the edge of a woodland. This is a clump forming variety.

Originated in North America and North Mexico and are a member of the amaryllidaceae family, often known as Lady's Leek or Nodding Onion.

  • Flower approximately July - August
  • Perennial.
  • Reach approximately 14" (35 cm) tall.
  • Plant approximately 12" (30 cm) apart.
  • Like a sunny or part sunny position
  • Prefers a dry / well draining soil.
  • Good rockery plant.

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
